Comprehensive Medical Center welcomes our new resident, Dr. Rayna Katz, ND, Lac. Dr. Katz will be expanding her knowledge and understanding of merging naturopathic medicine with German biological medicine and conventional medicine. Dr. Rayna Katz is a board-certified Naturopathic Doctor and Acupuncturist and brings a wealth of knowledge in healing traditions including naturopathic medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine, nutrition, and dietetics. Dr. Katz’s main focus is to equip her patients with the education and tools they need to live conscious lifestyles, maintain body awareness, and develop holistic relationships with their health.
Born and raised in Arizona, Dr. Katz received her Bachelors of Science in Nutrition with a didactic emphasis in Dietetics from the University of Arizona. Her training included studying abroad to expand her knowledge specifically in the Mediterranean diet and lifestyle, worked as a recipe developer for published magazines, initiated farmer’s markets and taught cooking classes for her local community.
A personal experience with healing through a combination of naturopathic and acupuncture treatments guided Dr. Katz to pursue training in these modalities to be able to more deeply support people throughout their health journey. Dr. Katz’s love for natural medicine and treating the body as a whole led her to move to the Pacific Northwest where she received her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine and Masters of Acupuncture from Bastyr University.
During her naturopathic training, she refined her skills in botanical medicine, counseling, homeopathy, physical medicine, and hydrotherapy. Dr. Katz spent many years studying Constitutional Hydrotherapy and will be offering sessions at Comprehensive Medical Center. Her education of Traditional Chinese Medicine encompasses cupping, Tui Na, Gua Sha, auricular acupuncture, moxibustion, nutrition, and acupuncture.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Katz has an artistic and creative side which led her to open her own business, sharing and selling her artworks which include pyrography, painting, and Earth Angels, which she names after the intension set while creating them. In addition, she continued her love for nutrition by developing and creating her own online cooking classes where she crafted original recipes, educated her students on culinary skills, and imparted knowledge concerning the nutritional and medicinal properties of food. With training in both Eastern and Western medicine along with her creative side, Dr. Katz is able to see beyond the physical elements of health and consider all aspects of whole body wellness including mental, emotional, physical and spiritual health to design creative and individualized treatments. With the values of the importance of growth, transformation, and human connection, Dr. Katz offers a space to learn and expand your overall well-being. What Our Clients Says
I was diagnosed with crohns, ankylosing spondylitis, arthritis, Leaky gut, and a couple of other things along the way. But ultimately no doctor could really say what I had or provide relief. I visited Dr Kimiai after a 12 year health care journey with little hope, but visited Her at the urging of my father who had so much confidence in her practice. After one very thorough visit with her she diagnosed my situation, gave me a regiment of supplements and a prescription, and within 6 weeks my symptoms were completely gone. It’s been 7 months now and I am still in awe. I haven’t felt this good in 12+ years. I can’t recommend her and her team enough.”
