Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral Therapy is a body work technique developed by Dr. John E. Upledger. The craniosacral system incudes the membranes and cerebral spinal fluid that surrounds the brain and spinal cord. During a treatment, the practitioner applies gentle touch with a pressure equivalent to the weight of a nickel. This releases restrictions in the flow of fluid and energy through the craniosacral system. This technique is very effective for treating chronic pain, neurological disorders, fatigue, learning disabilities and psychological disorders. The intention of a craniosacral treatment is to strengthen the body’s innate healing processes and optimize immune system function. The patient remains fully clothed during the session.
